Plásticos de engenharia de alto desempenho
High-performance engineering plastics can be used as engineering materials and plastics to manufacture machine parts instead of metal. The engineering plastics have excellent overall performance such as high rigidity, small creep, high mechanical strength, good heat resistance and electrical insulation, they can be used for long time in a relatively harsh chemical and physical environment.
According to the market demand, they can be divided into three categories.
Class I: Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS), Fluorine Resin.
ClassⅡ: Polyarylate (PAR) and Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP).
Class Ⅲ: Polysulfone (PSU), Polyethersulfone (PES), Polyether Ether Ketone (PEEK), Polyetherimide (PEl), Polyimide (P1), Polyamide-imide (PAl), etc. .
High-performance engineering plastics refer to a kind of engineering plastics which are mainly used at the temperatures above 150 ℃. Despite their very high performance, the formability of them is not very good, and their prices are high, which lead to limited application.
